This October, the first new moon falls in the zodiac sign of Libra, bringing a new sense of balance and equilibrium. It also coincides with a solar eclipse, marking new beginnings and change. The new moon in Libra will occur today, on October 2nd. This new moon marks the beginning of a new lunar cycle – and with it being in the sign of Libra. Libra is an air sign represented by the scales: showing balance and harmony.

How can we work with the new moon for our wellbeing?

The new moon is always a favourable time to let go and release. Today, we can set intentions for things we want to manifest, and things we wish to release.

By turning inwards, we will find ourselves more grounded and centred, and more aligned with our "truth". Understanding the moon cycle can support us with our overall wellbeing; being aware of our own inner cycle and the outer cycle can help us with our mood and emotions.

I got interested in my own inner cycle after the birth of my son, about ten years ago. Since then, I haven't looked back - listening to my body with care and gentleness as well as noticing that the body is rhythmed by a cycle: rest, actions, manifestations and release.

I hope that you will enjoy this new moon and solar eclipse.

Wishing you well,

P
